Original Acai Bowl Recipe
This recipe has been perfected by Acai Bowl Master
- Frozen acai puree* – 1 pouch, break up in the wrapper first
- 1 Frozen chopped banana
- 1 fresh whole red apple cored and chopped
- Frozen blueberries 3/4 cup
*if using acai powder use 1-2 teaspoons and add a couple of cubes of ice
4 ingredients + 1200watt or higher stainless steel blade blender + tamper = Perfect Acai Bowl!
HINT: Have the toppings ready for assembling, before you start acai blending!
By cutting up the apple and placing it first in to the blender makes the juice which allows for easier blending……..
Add next in the following order:
- Frozen blueberries
- Acai pouch or acai powder
- Frozen bananas
Blend together gradually using the tamper to push the fruit around until a smooth, thick consistency is reached. The tamper will aid in pushing the blend into the blade eliminating air gaps which is what causes the blade to spin but not mix.
So…. congratulations to you if your acai is thick and a spoon can stand up in it? That is how to make an acai bowl!
